Back to improve the reliability of container ships. This is certified by the latest Global Liner Performance report published by Sea-Intelligence. The total punctuality of the services of line to September of this year is increased of 1,2 points percentages on monthly basis, reaching 64.4%. At the annual level, the improvement was 19%.
Also the medium delay for the arrivals of the ships in delay is improved, diminishing of -0,09 days, to 4,58 days, in the ninth month of the year. Delays remain 1.3 days shorter than those recorded in the same month last year.
Between the Rimi 14 carriers container to the world, Maersk and Hamburg Süd are more punctual to September of 2023, with a reliability of the times pairs to 69.8% regarding the programming, followed from MSC with 69.8%. In addition to the Italian-Swiss carrier, six other carriers had between 60 and 70% reliability. These are CMA CGM, Wan Hai, OOCL, PIL, COSCO and Evergreen.
Four carriers have recorded a reliability comprised between 50 and 60% (ZIM, Hapag-Lloyd, ONE and Yang Ming). Only HMM recorded a schedule realiability of less than 50%, making it the least reliable vector.
Overall, in September there were ten carriers that recorded a monthly base increase. Among these, GDP is the carrier that closed the month with the best percentage increase, equal to 7.3% over August. At the annual level, 13 of the fourteen liners examined showed a double-digit increase in punctuality.
