Sint Maarten, Philipsburg

With an area of 88 km², Saint-Martin is the smallest inhabited island in the world to be divided between two different states: the southern section, known as Sint Maarten, has now become a constitutive nation of the Netherlands; while the northern includes the Saint-Martin Community and is a dependent overseas community of France.
